Mercury Web Browser - with powerful Ad Block extensions App Reviews

I wish Adblock would be for no cost

I have been using this browser for about a year. I find it much easier than the others I have tried to keep my bookmarks in sync. 4 stars because every few months I get an ad message that I have won an iPhone which I feel is a scam and I do not wish to pursue. However the browser gives me no way to get out and back to browser without he ad.

Lucy ding took over this app and completely ruined the best browser iOS had. I PAID for pro version but that doesnt mean anything we are expected to pay monthly fees for same feature that were included in old version for free.why pay anyhow for extras when the whole app is unstable and crashed constantly. I downgraded and am using 3 year old version from original developer and that works better than this one

Almost a year since its last update! Its not ready for IOS 10. Settings do not work, fonts do not adjust, speed dial freezes the app... dont pay until they update it...

i love this app, but some of the newgrounds music i downloaded and all of the videos and pics i downloaded mysteriously dissapeared this mornin after it said a song i downloaded last night couldnt finish.

Easy and dependable!

I used to run this app over safari and dolfin app. I enjoyed their Add block and search menu but now these greedy mother fers want to limit the possibilities and have you pay a monthly fee or get its full edition, aint nobody got time or money for dat. I might reconsider re downloading it but till they bring back its old features, which made this app so amazing, i will be sticking with other browsers. You can ruin your whole app by being stingy and limit how much freedom you get, no one likes to be in shackles. My one advice is dont forget your roots and how you got here.. Best analogy here is in-n-out, a cAlifornia based food company who has not changed its ways since its creation. Why are they making so much money? Its because they have their core principles that got them there, and here with this app, theyve takin everything away, i guess its time for you and me to move on, trust me fellow brotherens, just download something better than this piece of crap, they have much more freedom and they dont charge you any fees. Well till ten mercury, go back to your old ways or your app will burn and crash

Used to be great. Now its a steaming pile that Im bagging up and throwing out. Slow. Slow. Slow. Did I mention slow? Im on an iPhone 6s Plus running iOS 9.1. There is no reason this should be slower than the faux web browser on my moms 4-year old, non-smartphone. The page will often seize up and you wont be able to tap any links or select any text (including Google search results). Ad block is now a premium feature. Greedy sons of...I wouldnt complain if the app worked at least 75% of the time, which it doesnt. Tabs, presented as cards, show blank screens and "untitled" for the header. You think you accidentally opened a couple extra tabs, but its actually pages you had kept open earlier. If I wanted to view a new tab right away, I wouldnt choose to open in the background. Fix this stuff!

Okay so going to address a few of the many: -crashes a lot when you have over 4 folders -crashes instantly if you have over 2200 files downloaded -when it crashes it most of the times closes all of the tabs -the image viewer no longer obeys which sort type to go by and only goes by name and no longer date. Which is a huge pain. -when you delete a file being downloaded that has a question mark, all of your files get deleted. Non of these happened in the older versions.

I like it. Its fast, stable and does a greatno on rendering. Its a nice alternative to Safari

Thank you for a wonderful web browser . So much better than Safari. Keep up the good work. I really appreciate that it does not cost an arm and leg to fix like safari .

I have had Mercury browser since the IPhone 4S, it is great and I feel uncomfortable without it!

Once was reliable and great to use. Now freezes up or simply shuts down most of the time. Like the ability to view pages in desktop version but needs to work first and foremost.

I bought the Pro version and this is the same. So try it out here first. But be prepared to be disappointed. Paid subscription for Ad Block, even in Pro. This app used to be great. Now its doing everything to get money. Even adding more ad to sites. Makes me wonder if they really did get hacked, or a lie so people get their app again.

Cant open my file option.. Please fix this

There is only one thing preventing a five star rating and that is limited tabs. In my opinion, a maximum of nine tabs is not enough. We have other web browser apps can give multiple tabs way be on nine (For example, I have gone beyond 100 tabs open that one time on the Puffin web browser app without a problem.) I, for one, would greatly appreciate it if many more tabs would be available to open instead of just the nine. When that happens I will change the review rating to five stars. Other than that, I absolutely love this web browser app. I have yet to see an app with the security that this web browser app has. With two different ways to keep what you have on this web browser private one of them being the fingerprint you use for your iPad security, and then a connect-the-dots security option, both of which worked wonderfully well, I can feel confident that no one is going to be able to see what it is I am browsing on this web browser app. I also really like the multiple options that are offered to manipulate this here web browser app as well. Like I just said, allow multiple tabs to be open – many more than just nine – and I definitely will change the review rating to a five star review rating because the rest of this web browser app aside from the limited number of tabs capable of being open is worthy of five stars, just the ability to open up only nine tabs is what is keeping me from giving it to five star rating that, otherwise, this web browser app is. Even though for right now the review rating for this web browser app is just for now a four star review rating, I thought that it was still worthy enough for a "like" for Facebook so I gave it a "like" for Facebook.

Slow, crashes, times out, and now the AdBlock extension is a trial rather than free. Terrible app.

I would give this browser 10 stars if I could. Hands down the best browser in the App Store. Id imagine the majority who dont give it 5 stars dont understand how to use it. My iPhone is now much more useful. Thank you Mercury Browser!
